I think she's an excellent young gel

Gingerbear · 07/06/2006 19:39

southeastastra · 07/06/2006 19:39

spacedonkey · 07/06/2006 19:40

Hullo Zenzero Ursino (or whatever it was!) - mmm things are .. er .. well let's not go there :-S How're things with you?

Gingerbear · 07/06/2006 19:40

I like her style.
And the fact that she is buxom and young.
And sinks several voddies on a night out on the lash.

Tutter · 07/06/2006 19:40

no, sorry, the garlic bread thing gets on my tits

spacedonkey · 07/06/2006 19:41

what garlic bread thing?

Gingerbear · 07/06/2006 19:41

Jeez, my italian regime has gone down the pan! What ever happened to your mums pooches?

Tutter · 07/06/2006 19:41

(that was to peter kay, not charlotte church Grin)

i like charlotte church. would like to go a bender with her. even tho i could prob be her mum.

Tutter · 07/06/2006 19:41

on a bender

spacedonkey · 07/06/2006 19:42

Mine too (Italian regime) - the dogs ended up with new families in Germany, weirdly enough!

Gingerbear · 07/06/2006 19:43

Peter Kay - nope, northern ass. Formulaic humour, not funny after 33rd time, and I used to like him.
Also coloured by fact that niece wanted his autograph, SIL related to one of the Phoenix Night crew, and he REFUSED unless she paid for it.

spacedonkey · 07/06/2006 19:44

Road to Amarillo ruined him for me shakes head sadly

Gingerbear · 07/06/2006 19:44

Wherefore art tho these days Donk?

ruty · 07/06/2006 19:46

think C Church is a brilliant role model for young girls - weight wise anyway - maybe not getting rat arsed wise - very good looking girl - but just waiting for her to lose her voice from all that fag smoking.

niceglasses · 07/06/2006 19:48

Dylan Moran

love im

Snafu · 07/06/2006 19:48

John Peel, yes.

Would also vote for Jarvis but can see how he might be an acquired taste.

Surely Helen Mirren must be universally loved?

Boris Johnson? Grin

spacedonkey · 07/06/2006 19:48

(still in london gb)

agree about Church. I just like her. She's gorgeous, not a stupid lolly headed stick insect, she has a great voice, she's handled growing up in the public eye brilliantly, and she doesn't appear to have succumbed to prima-donna-ish ways

zippitippitoes · 07/06/2006 19:51

she's not much of a role model then is she ruty Wink or is that the do as mum says and go to choir but then rebel model?

Gingerbear · 07/06/2006 19:51

and she has bagged a hunk of a rugger player!

SenoraPostrophe · 07/06/2006 19:54

oh yes, charlotte church has turned out ok.

and I think she is a role model in that her success hasn't gone to her head, she doesn't get a new boyfriend every week, she doesn't go on endless diets and she hasn't been caught doing drugs. She might drink and smoke, but gawd you've got to do something when you're young haven't you? think she's v well balanced under the circs.

ruty · 07/06/2006 19:56

i know zippi but it is just such a relief to see a sexy, succesful young girl that other girls can aspire to who isn't a stick insect with an eating disoder. Keira Knightley was in the Standard the other day saying how she downs half a bottle of wine and a plate of pasta, and never goes to the gym - that's what all thin actresses say, and it is just this huge pressure on other young girls, who think there is something wrong with them that they can't be like that. I know, I know, some people have good metabolisms but I don't actually believe KK myself. Seen too many actresses and what they live on.

ruty · 07/06/2006 19:56

pasta and half a bottle every night she said, sorry!

spacedonkey · 07/06/2006 19:57

hear hear ruty

I was expecting to get shot down in flames for suggesting Church!

webchick · 07/06/2006 19:57

Zippi, is the BBC doctor Rosemary Leonard? Blonde hair, 40s, lots of studio makeup caked on? She was at GP at my local surgery but left as she was too busy doing her TV work ;) She is very matter of fact and down to earth.
