I think this goes along with the concept of spirit babies (there's a thread on this under philosophy/religion). I really believe that we get the little spirits we are meant to have. Of course, I agree with you on the physical attributes being dependent on the particular sperm and egg genetics at the time, but our physical appearance and who we really "are" are 2 different things. Although certainly one can influence the other IYKWIM.

well sorry to be a kill joy but yes if my dd had be born a day earlier or later maybe a different midwife would have been on and monitored her and got her out quicker and no cp

Who knows the answer? i agree that sometimes we can think TOO much and over analyse things, i am a "think too much" type of person always have been, and i think you can send yourself doolally with what ifs.
