Pretty self explanatory really!! A bit of advice - don't eat tomato soup when you're wearing white! Does anybody know any way I can get this stain out without spending a fortune on stain removal products (that don't seem to work). Cheers!

Fairy Liquid and a bit of soap powder rubbed ont he stain then throught the wash as normal - or that Vanish Oxypowder stuff should do the trick. I have also used Vanish Powershot for carpets on clothes to get bad stains out.

I would definitely try washing after a soak in cold water and detergent first. With processed tomato, heat sets the stain and then you are in trouble.

try soaking the stained thing in a napisan and water. Works wonders. It scares me what it might contain, but it gets really bad stains out! Also, the sun might bleach the stain if you hang it outside.

Cold water, then hand soap, works on blood and coffee and wine.

Got to say, that for white things (depending on material) I use a well diluted bleach solution. This has brought socks, kids pants and their white t-shirts up great.

I just use normal household bleach(but not too strong) and cold water. Leave overnight - 24 hrs (check after 8 hours or so) and then rinse with cold water. Then I give the garment(s) 2 washes in the machine; one with detergent and 1 without to make sure any residue of soap powder/bleach is gone and dry as normal. Works for me when Vanish has failed

Have you tried Ace bleach? Very clever stuff, you can use it on colours aswell.
