My mate has moved to Lutterworth, I'm in Wigan, so we want to meet up somewhere in the middle for the day, which is going to be in the Stoke region, we each have a 10 year old and I have a 7 year old. Where could we go and what could we do?
Ta!

Hi
Have a look here

Amerton Farm is nice (South of Stoke)
Tittesworth Reservoir (North of Stoke)
Waterworld (indoor waterpark)
A couple of the pottery factories have coffee shops where the children can paint their own plates.
Chatsworth House (actually in Derbyshire)but brilliant adventure playground

There's more but need to think....will post again

Depends on the weather, I know of serveral pubs with Wacky Warehouse type places for rainy days...

Heath Farm, Congleton
Brewsters Pub, Nr Newcastle
The Plough, Alsager (nr junction 16)

Would also agree with all of Luckmum's ideas, I've heard good things about the Bridgewater Pottery.

There's a nice farm place in WHeelock, near Sandbach, good for summer days as there's a little playground there too.

If I think of anymore, I'll post them for you.

There is Crewe Park, lots of space and a nice playground with a nearby beafeater pub which is child friendly and quite a nice building or Stapeley Water Gardens which is a few minutes from junction 16. Apparently there is a bit called The Palms which is great for children and there's a cafe too. HTH.

Head down to Festival Park, just out of Hanley. There is a choice of Waterworld, Megabowl or a dry ski slope. There is also a multiplex cinemal if you want to get rid of the 10 year olds for an hour or 2.

There is also Dimensions at Tunstall which is a bit of a smaller version of Waterworld.

Of course you could always come and visit me!!!

Shugborough Hall, Museum, Park farm and gardens ground etc are lovely but it would depend on the time of year you were going because I know they are closed atm. They are in Milford nr Stafford

Another vote for festival park too - plently to do there

Amerton Farm is lovely too but may be a bit young for a 10yr old but do lovely cream teas
