Ds starts his new school on Monday. Just a couple of weeks and then it's the Christmas holidays. I would have had him there sooner, but it's taken this long to sort out all the paperwork. You wouldn't think it would be such a complicated matter, but it's not just an ordinary school transfer, because it's the special school, they ask for medical reports and all sorts.
I really hate bureaucracy! And Greece I think should be renamed Bureaucratia, it's terrible for it.
Still, I hope it's all worth it in the long run, I think ds2 will be better off there.
Ds1 on the other hand is doing fine at his school and has optimistically written two letters to Father Christmas - one in Greek and one in English, each with different things on it. I have had to promise to get the Christmas tree and decorations out soon - they seem much more excited this year!
This weekend, when I should have some time, I am going to make some mincemeat for mincepies. Do any of you do British cakes and puddings at Christmas, or do you just go with the Italian? Some British expats I used to know in Athens, before I moved to Alexandroupoli, used to just have Greek Christmas sweets and not bother with British ones, but I like it! Actually, I like all sweets, cakes, puddings, etc, regardless of nationality!!
