up the road, an hour and a half ago, and has obviously gone to the pub? Without even taking his mobile phone?

I was worrying myself so went down to check at 7.00pm. Of course they were there ......

carla · 05/05/2006 20:42

What's wrong with that? They left the house at about 4.30 and I walked down to find them about 7ish????

I would be extremely irritable. And dh would belittle my concerns.
And I used to accept the criticism, but not any more. If someone indicates they will only be away for a few minutes and stays away for 1 1/2 hours they should let you know. I even got this through to ds the other day when I was having a go at him fot being late. hwe said he could take care of himslef but I pointed out that he would be worried about me if I was so late and it made him think.

No, lockets, they weren't in the garden. And he didn't try to ring.

I didn't understand what point starlover was trying to make.

OP posts:
quanglewangle · 05/05/2006 20:50

carla, I think starlover was trying to explain things to babyonboard.

Oh, I see, thanks Smile The funny think is, I took them out of the pub, walked them home, and now he's not talking to me

OP posts:
starlover · 05/05/2006 20:53

babyonboard asked who had mentioned the pub! i was just shopwing her

carla · 05/05/2006 20:53

batters, what post didn't I respond to? Where on earth am I being confrontational?

OP posts:
starlover · 05/05/2006 20:54

you should've just sat down and joined them carla.
and made him buy you all dinner!

carla · 05/05/2006 20:54

Yes, I understand now starlover, thank you.

I would be very angry.
How hard is a phonecall?

nooka · 05/05/2006 21:33

I would be very angry if they were in the pub itself, because it's not a suitable environment for children. Not quite so bothered if they were in the pub garden, or if it was a smoke free pub. Don't see why he couldn't phone you though.

bubblerock · 05/05/2006 21:58

It wouldn't bother me tbh and he rightly assumed that you would guess they had gone to the pub - sometimes you end up doing things on the spur of the moment and don't think that it will cause a problem.

WestCountryLass · 05/05/2006 21:59

Same as Bubblerock, it wouldn't bother me. If it did I would have gone down there and got them, not left it 2.5 hours.

galaxy · 05/05/2006 22:00

I'd be narked if he'd taken them to the pub and not invited me. I'd be more worried that something had happened if he was gone for so long as it would be completely out of character, but from the sound of things, it's not out of character for your dh
