I just snatched time to get a cut and colour..
My hairdresser said the cut I wanted was a fab idea..and adapted it and made it look beter than I imagined..

but she refused to put colour on it! and i mean..really refused..I insisted...but she said it would be unproffesional as my hair is in such great condition and a lovely natural colour anyway..
hmph

it desn't seem like it to me..and i had my heart so set on a change..i'm tempted to go to sainsburys and buy a box dye.

should i justaccept her advice!?

well..at least it gave me time to go buy a lot of new make up after..lol

my hairdresser wont let me have a fringe!

I'd accept her advice - she's obviously missed out on money by not colouring you. And it'd be really embarrassing when you see her again after doing a home dye.
What did you want to do?

JoolsToo · 05/05/2006 17:56

once you start colouring ..............

sounds like an honest hairdresser so her advice is probably to heeded.

babyonboard · 05/05/2006 17:57

you're right..i saw her a year or so ago and i'd let my friend trim my layers and done a homedye..
under her lights it loked shocking..athome i thought i looked swish..lol

my hair is 'shitty brown'
it looks nice in sunlight but i'm not often in sunlight..i wanted a deep chcolatey / burgundy brown colour, in graduated streaks..

best trust the pros I guess!

oh..and the same hairdresser looked like she was about to cry after she saw I'd had a fringe put in whil on holiday..lol

she'd always refused to cut one..and she was probably right to!

Personally, I don't like burgundy - especially in streaks. I think shitty brown sounds a lot more classy.

babyonboard · 05/05/2006 18:53

lol cupcakes..
i don't mean obvious streaks..just a bit of lowlights in burgundy and the rest block coloured chocolate brown..

but ..'hairdresser says no' teehee

what about these 'john frieda' brilliant brown / blonde shampoos ..are they worth the money?
will they make my brown slightly less 'shitty' and a bit more ' brilliant' ?
lmao

I read the title and had visions of you sitting in the hairdressers chair, kicking your feet and shouting "but I want some chocolate NOW". Grin
