AAARGH - Have to speak to Landlord..

Judging by the AARGH you may well guess we are not on the best of terms.

Anyway, to cut a long story short, my landlord wants me to leave. This is fine, I want to leave too. BUT they haven't served a 'legal' notice to quit (have had advice from Shelter, Council, CAB etc).

Pretty much dreading getting in touch to ask for this. I know I'm a complete wuss, fair enough. what's the best way to go about sorting this?

i am assuming you need the legal notice to help you with future housing arrangements?

i would write a letter stating such.

Yep Custardo, I do. Writing sounds like a good idea.

Blimey, isn't this ridiculous from a grown woman and mother.

no its not silly - i dont know anyone who relishes confrontation.

at least this way you will have a written copy for your housing application.

if it serves you better why not include a SAE with a stamp on it, then he can send you a reply "forthwith"!!

dear sir,
i write about the termination of tenancy on xxxxinsert addressxxx.

to enable me to reciwve adequate housing support for the future i will require a 'legal notice to quit.

until i recieve this i cannot gain another tenancy, therefore i hope you understand how urgent this matter is.

i will require all contact via letter, this way both of us have a written record of hwo things are proceeding. i would be grateful if you could update me using the SAE enclosed.

yours............
