Anyone still using a Grobag over the age of 3?

Ds has always used a Grobag but a couple of weeks ago suddenly decided he didn't want to anymore. Fine, thought I, and we've been using blankets since.

Anyway, surprise, surprise, he's been kicking them off 3-4 times a night and waking up. Marvellous. Last night I put him back in his Grobag at midnight and, hey presto, he slept through to 6.30am. (Yes, I am a little slow to cotton on Smile)

Thing is, I can't help thinking it's a bit, well, babyish to still be using Grobags at this age? Am I being weird? They only seem to go up to 36months anyway and he'll be out of his present one before long. Anyone used one for a substantial length of time past 3 - and if so where do you buy them from?

Thanking you...

Hi snafu

My ds wouldnt tolerate his after he was 2 - actually had to start using blankets even though he slept in a cot till after 3!

You can get them for 3-6 year olds direct from Grobag
Seems an expensive PITA though
What about a gadget to keep the duvet on - Ive got one somewhere two clips, one at each end of some elastic - Its supposed to work, though I cant say I have ever used mine!

teach him to pull his duvet back up over him

snafu · 26/04/2006 22:05

Gawd, can't be arsed with that, twig Grin

Ta, bbb. Will have to have a better look on grobag site then - all the ones I looked at were 18-36 months only but will search. Am resigned to him wearing them until puberty.

Hey Snafu, DD is 2 and a half and still firmly in them. I bought some from Holland (not grobag but similar) which went into much bigger sizes.

The duvet clips might work though, let me know how it goes, I'll be in your position soon enough too.

DD1 will be 3 in June and still LOVES hers.

She fastens herself in.

DS is 2 and still fits in to his grobag fine but today he got right out of it at nap time (was fast asleep in just his t-shirt when I went in but doubt he would have lasted a night wothout it on).

I was considering one of those french style (well I assume french as they have them in the la Redoute / Vertbaudet catalogues) where teh duvet zips onto the undersheet, for when he transfers to a bed.

Another thought: \link{http://www.sleepingbaby.net/jan/index.html?Baby/index.html\How about this!}

A great idea if you can spare the time to wade through the mega complicated instructions!!! Im not sure it needs to be quite that long and tricky!!!

busybusybee · 26/04/2006 22:44

BTW I would sell my duvet clips if
a) I could find them
b) anyone wanted to buy them!

Spatz · 26/04/2006 22:49

My DD asked to stop wearing hers at 3.5 and did manage duvets after that. DS is 3 in two weeks and is still happy in his.
