Weekend activities for mums and toddlers

Another threead has just reminded me that I wanted to post this query.

I work full time but feel that I am really missing out on mum and toddler groups, tumble tots etc but can't find ANY weekend activities like this where you can also meet other mums.

We go to soft play centres which DS loves,we go swimming every few weeks. I would LOVE something like Tumble Tots on a weekend or a little music/singing type group. Or anything really.

Does anyone know any websites I could check out? I have tried netmums and yell.com....
I am in the north east.
Thanks

Mancmum - hooray - I have been looking for this thread, couldn't remember your name or the title so have just spent 5 minutes tracking through "Past Week".

Anyway I have just found this:

at the Manchester Museum (Oxford Road). I know it's ages off yet but there weren't any weekend pre-school events there in January.

Looking for primary age activities is what I get paid for (occasionally) and I often come across pre-school things too, mostly weekdays admittedly but when I find weekend ones I'll put them on here. Are you N, S, E, W or Central? (I look at Lancs, all of Mancs, Liverpool and Cheshire.)
