Giving old childrens shoes to charity

My dd is now 4 and has got through countless pairs of shoes over the last few years, most of which I have kept because they are still in such good condition (you know the £25 - £35 Clarkes / Start-rite types). I was wondering if anyone could suggest a charity or somewhere I could donate them to so that someone else can get some use out of them.

I put ds' in the shoe collection bins at the recycling bit at local supermarket carpark.

Any charity shop you happen to walk past would happily take them I would think, or our council collects them in the recycling boxes

Thank you, will have to go and see if the local supermarket has shoe recycling. I hate to see anything go to waste!

Lots of charities don't take old shoes, but the Salvation Army do if you have one near you.

I always put DS's old shoes into a charity bag. Lots of shoe shops have a collection bin too - I think they send them to 3rd world countries.
