Don't know if anyone's already said this, but the Times today has those quotes from the Mumsnet,"What did you learn from giving Birth?", thread! Some good ones there

Yes I bought it. They were a bit measly though weren't they (The TImes not the quotes!) only used a few and there were TONS of good ones on the thread. All good publicity for MN though

Hulababy · 12/01/2004 16:07

Oh no I didn't get it. Is there a link to it on the Times website do you know? Wonder if I can get DH to pick a copy up from downstairs. Was it in today's paper?

CountessDracula · 12/01/2004 16:08

Angeliz · 12/01/2004 16:09

JanH · 12/01/2004 16:12

Thanks, CD, I went for a look and couldn't find it. Some superb quotes in there - I don't read childbirth threads as a rule cos it's a foreign country to me so I've missed these!

Hulababy · 12/01/2004 16:15

Thanks CD!

I may have to get pg just so I can get the book No, maybe I need to find a friend who is pg so I can buy it for her (and read it first)!

Angeliz · 12/01/2004 16:22

well done bluebear Which one was yours? (they were good ones)

OP posts:
Tinker · 12/01/2004 19:09

I think one of my quotes is in there. Oh, the irony of being in a Murdoch paper

codswallop · 12/01/2004 19:21

marthamoo · 12/01/2004 22:05

Wow, does MN really have 15,000 members? Where ARE they all?

Twink · 12/01/2004 22:05

LOL Tinker

[Reminds me of the mega 'discussions' we had after Ondigital vanished as dh is seriously into US football and the only option was a &&**^ng dish. Swallowed my politics for an 'easy' life and he doesn't watch it now cos he hates the presenter.
Aggggg, would cancel, but now have fallen victim to Cbeebies for the witching half hour before tea... I always swore blind I'd never fall victim to RM, dd what have you done to me ???]

JanH · 12/01/2004 22:17

Twink, I always swore that too...forget why we succumbed to Sky, probably the lousy TV reception we get here, but I still get passing moments of guilt!

bunny2 · 12/01/2004 23:21

Oh My! They used my quote as the title. "I can bear an incredible amount of pain and still live". So excited, just sent dh out to find a copy. Must email everyone I know.

sis · 13/01/2004 09:42

Twink, if you want to get rid of the dish - I think you can get Cbeebies on cable or with a freeview box

Carriel · 13/01/2004 18:18

If anyone has any copies of the article to spare can you email me at [email protected] and I'll let you know where to send (and reimburse postage)

Failed miserably yesterday and haven't even seen it....Will never be left holding the fort again.

Festivefly · 13/01/2004 18:19

Why didn't they use mine, whats wrong with spitting in mens faces?

Tinker · 13/01/2004 18:46

Twink/Sis/Jan - Yes, I'm getting rather excited at the thought of freeview (not got it, still just a thought) - guilt free tv.

Once, I was involved in an some work that was quite high profile and we had lots journalists sniffing around for quotes. In one of my more pompous moments I told a News of the World journalists that "I don't talk to Murdoch papers"
