velcrobott. erotica is simulated sex, pornography unsimulated. It's a good question though, but we all see so much erotica these days I'd never be able to sort it. That'll be a different study..in a few days knowing me Grin

uh, only once with mates, as a teenager when someone's parents were away, for curiosity's sake - I'd feel ridiculous using it as a "relationship aid". Even in one film it got kinda samey after a while...

velcrobott · 17/04/2006 18:15

How do you know it's unsimulated ? I mean I thought I'd seen erotic movies but I did see his penis in her vagina... is that porn ? And what is hardcore?
Gosh I sound so naive LOL

It depends on the image and the context.
CarolinaMooncup · 17/04/2006 18:28

isn't it technically illegal if you see erect penises/actual penetration etc? I thought that was where the hardcore/soft porn boundary was.

in "erotic movies" from Blockbuster etc you don't see much actually going on iyswim.

CarolinaMooncup · 17/04/2006 21:22

OMG, sorry MT - I've killed your porn thread BlushWink

monkeytrousers · 17/04/2006 21:27

LOL CM - It's tricky as I'm not sure what the law on censorship states at the mo except its guided by the tenet of "what a reasonable person will find offensive" not what a reasonable woman would - the spectre of cultural feminism and gender as a cultural construct spreads wide and to our ultimate disempowerment.

OP posts:
Bugsy2 · 17/04/2006 21:28

I don't think its illegal to see hardons in porn - although as I type I am uncertain. If it is illegal, there are vast amounts of illegal porn movies about!

busybusybee · 17/04/2006 21:31

Monkeytrousers - I am interested to know what your degree/MA and dissertation is called???

FWIW I have never watched porn, never would and yes I think it degrades those involved

A friend of mine did a MA about sex - a really bizarre title for his diss. Ian Hislop!!!! from Private Eye and HIGNFY telephoned him for details so they could include a piece on it in Private Eye! OMG
