My ds is very forgiving and never holds a grudge. Dd1 is just a lovely human being without a bad bone in her body, she is never nasty about anyone, is always thinking of others, so loving and caring and understanding, and all this at only 6!!! I wish I was more like her, I honestly do!! Dd2 is only 2, so it's a little hard at the moment to tell what she is going to be like, but she does have a cracking sense of humour!!

well ds is only 1... but right now things taht I admire are:

persistent (ok, not always a good thing!)
very gregarious

starlover · 13/04/2006 20:23

will add:

happy
adaptable
easy going

I love that ds2 is so laid back - is 2 and happy 99% of the time (although the other 1% is scary to see..!) and will happily share his toys with ds1 and let him take the lead in playing etc.

I have also always loved dd's ability to sleep for long periods!

Troutpout · 13/04/2006 21:42

ds is a loyal friend...has a good sense of right and wrong ...and is fair and honest
dd is excellent at reading people...and anticipates their actions and why they do things

swedishmum · 13/04/2006 21:45

My dd2 is sometimes infuriating, but is also charming, confident, funny, intelligent, very thoughtful towards others, blonde and skinny. She also has an excellent memory and can put people at their ease.

Ds is a loving child. He is fair when playing, and can't understand it when other children take things. He is generous with everything. He makes loyal friends (well, as loyal as 4 year olds can be!) He knows how to make people thing that he is a little angel, even when he has been a monkey only seconds before that!

thewomanwhothoughtshewasahat · 13/04/2006 21:47

dd2 is very independent. she doesn't crave approval. she does things cos she wants to, not because she'll get praised for it. sometimes it drives me round the bend, but, being the kind of person who can't tie my shoelaces without worrying what other people think, it is a trait I admire very much. (but don;t tell her)

dd1, age 2.9, is VERY mellow and contented w/herself. she rarely gets frustrated.

blueshoes · 13/04/2006 22:23

dd is very unself-conscious, doesn't mull over hurts or care what others think of her. Could be her or because she is only 2.5!

hockeymum · 14/04/2006 08:43

dd always manages to pull the cutest older men in her playground. They run after her like she's made of chocolate or something. (when I say older men, I mean they are 4, she is 3.5!)

I wish I were like her Grin

suzywong · 14/04/2006 08:44

kindess, honesty, fairness, detemination, positivity, sweetness..the list is endless

drosophila · 14/04/2006 08:56

DS is very witty. Not something I expected at 6 but then there are many wits in my family (one is a stand up comic). DO you think it's genetic. May have skipped a generation in my case.

merrymum · 14/04/2006 09:47

dd1 is really loyal to her friends which is nice to see also she is really caring and independant.

cataloguequeen · 14/04/2006 09:57

dd1 she is very beautiful,confident/out going, happy, loving (she gives lovely complements to everyone)sweet, honest and so much more...

dd2 a real beaut too all the above but she is laid-back,funny,cheeky and she knows her rights (must be hereditary!Grin)

Ds is nearly 3 so character not fully formed but he surprises me sometimes by noticing someone needs help and coming to the aid quietly without asking. He's also funny and has started making up his own jokes (which only make sense to him 'what get cross lion and monkey? CROCODILE'). Charming and also very forgiving. Like OP says, doesn't hold a grudge. And he never makes a fuss about being hurt - falling over and stuff that some other kids make a song and dance about.
