I stupidly just opened an email in my outlook inbox , as its address was admin@freeserve, I should have known there was something strange as the subject read "your account ppapaoia"??? when I opened it the message read this email address will expire etc ect and then the pc clicked and LUCKILY my Nortan anti Virus kicked in and a message came up saying it had just been blocked from doing its nasty work and bu**ering the whole PC that I have just spent a HUGA amount of money on to clean up. Norton has now qaurantined it , but I am not sure what to do, do I leave it like that?? I have put it into delete, but can I send it to freeserve broadband??? HOW??

So EVERYONE please be warned this is NASTY and even managed to get passed my Norton security to end up in my inbox. If you receive similar DO NOT OPEN.

Dh advises just leaving Norton to delete it. Make sure you have the latest Norton 'update file' which you can get from the Norton website. HTH

Dh also advises getting a copy of McAfee Anti-Virus or one of the better free ones such as AVG. These are apparently more effective than Norton as Norton has a number of flaws.

Agree with leaving Norton to delete it... however, disagree that McAfee is better than Norton The only time I've had viruses affect the PC, McAfee let them in without so much as a whimper. Norton cleaned them up in seconds! My MIL's experience is the same - had major problems with McAfee. We've all sworn never to touch the program again!

Must agree , as we tried to install Mcafee and it was corrupted and affected my pc's registry !!! That was the reason I had to spend so much money in cleaning it up!!!

You should be able to delete it with Norton (or so I'm told!).
