I have a yummy yummy cake to post, but I'm worried that it won't travel well.

TIA Smile

eat it and save on postage

franke · 05/04/2006 16:46

I'd pack it out with polystyrene - I once received a cake from Germany like that - it was fine.

kalex · 05/04/2006 16:46

It won't! Suggest you eat it and send a letter describing how good it was instead Grin

MrsSpoon · 05/04/2006 16:47

Ooooh, put it in a box, wrap it up in bubble wrap and I'll give you my address...

TBH I don't have a clue but will watch with interest.

JoolsToo · 05/04/2006 16:47

oh you beat me to it MS - yeah Mars - send it to me I don't care what state it arrives in Grin

MadameDeMars · 05/04/2006 16:48

I'm being far too serious, aren't I?

MrsBadger · 05/04/2006 16:49

if it's fairly solid fruitcake type (ie not filled or iced), send in the tin it was baked in, or as near sized as you can get - important thing is a snug fit so it won't rattle about.
Wrap well in clingfilm etc, then in bubble wrap, then in snug box packed round with more bubblewrap/newspaper etc.

You are terrible women.

Thank you franke. That's what I'll do! Grin
