Does anyone use ths phone override service? Has anyone had any problems with it?

Am I right in thinking that it has been around for a long time?

TIA

Yes, no and yes.

But there is another one now (same lot) which is better for calls to mobiles - 18185.

Our phones have a 200 number memory so the codes are programmed in - 18185 for mobs and 1899 for mobiles.

18185 is also better for 0870, 0845 etc.

oh jan!!! Thanks:)

We have signed up to primus to get free evening and weekend calls.....

so need something for during the day (though primus' daytime and mobile rates are cheaper than BTs anyway)

So you are signed up to both then?
Sounds good:)
Would confuse DH though Grin

just re-read your post - 1899 is better for landline calls and 18185 for mobiles?

ok thick mum here! what does it do?

popsycalindisguise · 31/03/2006 19:38

gives you realy cheapy phone calls
you type it in before you ring the number and get billed by them rather than BT or whoever

It confuses the hell out of DH here too, pops! Grin (And we used to have 18866 as well ShockShock)

How much does your primus cost? 1899's calls are only 3p each, so you could make 150 landline calls a month and it would only be £4.50. (Mind you we don't make many so 150 sounds like a lot to me!)

JanH · 31/03/2006 19:45

Ah - when I said 1899 for mobiles before I really meant for landlines - do you see what I did there? Blush

popsycalindisguise · 31/03/2006 19:53

only just joined primus so will just check.....pretty sure 1899 etc will be cheaper in day and mobiles thoguh

OP posts:
popsycalindisguise · 31/03/2006 19:56

daytime local 2p per min and it seems daytime national are the same

so basically if it is going to be longer than 1 minute, i would use 1899 (as 3p however long)
