We are going on holiday in 7 weeks, I gave our passport forms to my health visitor 4 weeks ago, she filled them out and signed them but coulod'nt put her passport number on as she had sent hers away for renewal 4 weeks previously. Well she still has not had hers back (she is going abroad Monday) so I cant send our off, the passport office wont accept them without her passport number, and they wont give it her over the phone.................what the hell am I gonna do??

fill out new forms and get someone else to sign them - galling I know, but what else can you do?

waterfalls · 31/03/2006 18:47

Oh blimey, the only other person that could do it is the gp, and they charge around £25 per passport, and we have 4 to do, besides trying to get the passport photos correct for dts (aged 2) was an absolute nightmare, not to mention expensive.

Can't teachers sign the forms? I think they used to be able to didn't they?

VeniVidiVickiQV · 31/03/2006 18:48

I think someone is trying to tell you something WF......Sad

Yorkiegirl · 31/03/2006 18:48

desperateSCOUSEwife · 31/03/2006 18:49

my driving instructor did all of our passports for nothing

JanH · 31/03/2006 18:49

I think iota's right - you'll have to get new photos as well if she signed those (it doesn't have to be a professional you know officially, you know - any friend who is a teacher or nurse or something can do it for you).

What is she going to do though? Shock

waterfalls · 31/03/2006 18:49

it has to be someone who has known you for at least 2 years, ds has only been at school since september and dts are pre-school.

JanH · 31/03/2006 18:50

What do all your neighbours do for a living, wf? We've had ours signed by a retired nurse (SRN) and a retired teacher in the past.

waterfalls · 31/03/2006 18:51

No idea what she is going to do, i WAS HOPING SHE HAD STAMPED HER FEET ENOUGH TO GET IT BACK TO HER ON TIME, (oops) not likely now unless it arrives tomorrow.
