We have lived here for 3 1/2 years and have had no problems. I found out about a year ago and the previous tenant's boyfriend hanged himself in the hallway by the loft hatch. Its never bothered me at all. But tonight DS said "there is something strange about this house Mummy" I am pretty sure that noone has told him about the bloke killing himself and this has made me feel uneasy.

Have you asked him what he means, mieow? (How old is he?)

OHHH, that would really scare me especially if I was sure ds didn't know.

Sorry not much good am I.

He is always going on about things in the house, he can't have teddies in the room as they scare him. I am pretty sure that he has just watched too much Scooby-doo

if you're worried, can you get the house blessed or similar - am sure its nothing though

My niece wathched monster inc and now wont sleep in her room! So you could be right - it might be scooby doo - there is always a haunted house in scooby doo! I wouldnt worry too much - try and get him talking about what it is that he thinks is strange and it might just be typical toddler stuff.
After what happened it is not surprising that you would think like this, but try not to let it play on your mind or you will drive yourself into becoming scared.

I don't believe in the afterlife, though I do believe in spirits. I think he is just being silly. I haven't felt uneasy in this house at all.

Try and have a casual sort of chat with him - it could be the Scooby Doo thing, it could be a noise he's heard, it could just be there's something different about the way your house is laid out compared with someone else's!

Well, they do say that children are more perceptive to this kind of stuff than adults, and I think in your position I would be reluctant to think he was being silly.

I would say, if he is sensing something that you are not, try not to frighten him. If you do have a ghost, or a 'presence' or whatever then it needn't be threatening and it would be best if he's not frightened by it.

Keep us informed though, I would be interested to hear his explanation
