I really like the 'roar' one.

desperateSCOUSEwife · 27/03/2006 15:14

it does look mini but it isnt really
I thought it would be too small for ds2 (he is 9, weighs over 25kgs but the size of a 6 yo old)
but it does seat him comfortably iykwim

NomDePlume · 27/03/2006 15:15

and it's really easy to wipe down if anything gets on it

tootiredtotalk · 27/03/2006 15:16

god decisions decisions.....will have to check with dh. I would also like to get a nice storage chest for the living room for all her toys etc. I did have a wicker basket but she ripped it to shreds. such a savage

lol. I have a simple wicker type chest thing in the living room for DD's toys. It is brilliant. Big enough to get everything in, hinged lid that she can open easily but at the end of the day I can put all the toys away and it looks like a grown up's living room, not full of horrible plastic rubbish.

I saw a gorgeous one in John Lewis at the weekend. It was £90 though. I don't know what your budget is?

sharklet · 27/03/2006 15:21

My mum bought DD a lovely wicker one from Ikea, so far she adores it and being wicker its pretty hard wearing too. Think it was about £12.

tootiredtotalk, that one looks a bit more structured than the Dunelm one.

NomDePlume · 27/03/2006 15:22

a bit dubious of the plasticky nature of 'faux leather' though.

NomDePlume · 27/03/2006 15:23

sorry, i meant the GLTC one was more structured than the dunelm one and the sofa one looked a bit plasticky

tootiredtotalk · 27/03/2006 15:27

they are really lovely dino....what about the mothercare \link{http://www.mothercare.com/invt/lw1987&source=commjunction?AID=10358968&PID=585072&SID=armchair&cjsku=lw1987\one}

they also do them in boys colours and pastels\link{http://www.woolworths.co.uk/ww_p2/product/index.jhtml?pid=50564967\here}

EvesMama · 27/03/2006 15:33

and very srudy too, so suitable for older children.
my dd loves hers

EvesMama · 27/03/2006 15:34

'sturdy' not strudy

tootiredtotalk · 27/03/2006 15:34

i think ive made my mind up. Im gonna go for either the mothercare one in pink or the john lewis one. Can i also say that it is like gale force winds here and its really annoying as my little girl keeps stirring and she is not a well button and needs her sleep

I bought one from Robert Dyas \link{http://www.robertdyas.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10051&storeId=10001&productId=69703&langId=-1\here} They've gone down to £39.99. I paid £49.99 for mine and it was in cream. I bought it from the shop, not online and I don't think they do the cream one online. Imho it's very cute and doesn't look cheap nasty faux leather at all. I think it should last dd until she's 4/5 and then it'll be for her toys.

DelGirl · 27/03/2006 15:44

They also have it in blue.
