Internet service providers ... who's best?

Looking to change service providers, dh is thinking about using BT. Anyone use them, and are they any good? Any other recommendations?

We use BT and find them good.
We tried Tiscali for a while and the speed was really poor, like dial-up. To top it off Tiscali are now trying to f*ck us over by continuing to bill us. Their customer service is the worst I've ever come across. :(

Another vote for Plusnet but I've also found \link{http://www.ispreview.co.uk\this} isp review site very useful in the past.

Thanks for your comments; I shall let dh have a look at them later and see what he thinks. I suspect he'll still want to switch to BT but it looks as if Pipex and Plusnet are worth a look as well.

Another vote for Pipex, which my very techie brother recommended to us. Not the cheapest, and I don't know how their customer service is...because I NEVER have to ring them. Have never had any problems getting on line or with the speed of connection. We pay 22 pounds a month I think for what must be unlimited high speed: we are never off the internet.
