I can't believe Mark has got to the final.

He comes across as far too cocky. I think he's going to win though - else he wouldn't keep on being voted through.

Pete Waterman was on the ITV2 programme last week getting really worked up about it all. I think he thought Sam would win.

Totally agree. Doesn't that say something about how the best ones have been allowed to slip away. I loved Sam, Andy and Suzanne. The first two were definite pop idol potential, and Suzanne had potential for fame of some sort to do with singing (not pop IMO).

This is what the judges had to say. Personally I don't like either Mark or Michelle, but I do think this is a bit harsh.

HE DIDN'T MAKE A MARK

Foxy and Pete Waterman were astounded when Mark made it through to the next week¹s final instead of Sam.
"I actually felt sorry for him during his performance on Saturday because I didn¹t realise he would be that far out of his depth. Obviously, this show is not about talent or singing any more," said Pete.
Foxy added: "There was nothing that Mark did on Saturday to make me think he should be in the final. From what I saw, I thought Sam deserved to win the contest as his rendition of Maggie May was the best bit.
"When Mark came out, he looked like his parents had dressed him to go to church, either that or he was doing a gig as a bluecoat. He should be doing cabaret and if he is the pop idol, then that will be very disappointing."

Apparently 10 MPs signed a petition or letter (?) asking that the Pop Idol judges be less harse. For goodness sake, havent they got more important issues to worry about???

Oh, agree with PW and 'Foxy's comments there. I couldn't have cared less about this final (have taped it though - for my daughter, of course ) Michelle has such a remarkably unpleasant voice. Loud, but unpleasant and regularly out of tune.

I did like michelle but I wanted Sam to win from the beginning! was not really that interested in last nights final but it was obvious michelle was gonna win Mark was just toooo boring !

popsie, as soon as the result was announced he walked out of the building, didn't return for the Pop Idol Extra programme, didn't congratulate Michelle, because he doesn't agree with her winning.
