I have recently had a few problems with national companies, regarding consumer rights, i also "took" on Comet for my aunt after they refused to fix/replace her mobile phone 6 weeks after being bought saying the clip on the back wasn't covered by warranty,i battled with them and eventually they accepted what i was saying, also lately i bought a travel system for £259 ( babiesRus) plus had to pay £28 for a raincover, i looked in the catalogue and they were advertising the raincover for free if travel system was bought, i didnt have a receipt yet were as most people would think "oh well nothing i can do" i went in and battled a little and they gave me my money backfor raincover and a new receipt to cover warranty on the travel system, do you think this could be a good idea as a small business? Taking on companies on behalf of customers getting no where?

I did deal with Trading Standards regarding one of the matters who were hopeless, who else is there to turn to for these type of matters?

What do you think?

I only know of trading standards and i guess they vary from borough to borough. My work often brings me into contact with trading standards and i feel them incredibly helpful.

How exactly would you make a business out of it? What are you going to do, take a percentage of the persons refunds? or charge a flat rate. Either way i think it is only going to be attractive when big figures are being talked about and in those instances trading standards would definitely help, or solicitors and small claims courts.

Good idea, I'm always getting ripped off, having hassle over wrong bills etc. Couldn't afford to pay for help though.
