Britax freeway- how much should it move when fitted?

Recently bought a Britax Freeway and I think I've fitted it correctly but it just doesn't seem right. IT seems that when it is reclined the whole seat moves adn the seat belt then needs adjusted when you put the position back- is this right? ALso, when tightening the harness the seat sometimes moves forward at the bottom and the seat belt then needs tightened again. The instructions imply that this is Ok but I am worried that it shouldn't move this much and might be dangerous in a crash! When I've fitted it and yank on the harness (with or without dd in it) there isn't any give in it and it doesn't really budge much. I'm used to the first class, which never moves in any way!!
Any advice much appreciated. TIA

I think that you are supposed to check the tightness of the fit whenever you adjust the seat position. i think it's fairly logical that altering position might affect its strapping in. When I had a seat checked at Mothercare their only concern was whether it moved when you yanked forward on it - even side to side movement didn't seem cause for concern.

Thanks Purpleturtle. It just seemed weird to me because with the First Class in dh's car the base stays rigid and the seat bit moves so there is never any movement with the seat belt. I'd rather move them over but the Freeway doesn't fit in his Angry I'm reassured about Mothercare not fussing too much over side movement, thank you. Logically, reading the book etc, I thought it was right but I just wasn't sure.

(Doesn't moving it side to side adjust the seat belt tension though? THis car seat issue jsut confuses me!)

Ours hardly moves at all and has fitted a number of different cars securely. You do need to release the seatbelt from the red clip and retighten it when changing position but we rarely changed it. Make sure you push your knee/free arm well into the seat as you secure the belt back into the red clip.

if you recline it you have to refit it. We used to have a freeway and I didn't realise this initially.
