if you really want a zapp, get a 2nd hand one off ebay, then you can sell it on if you dont like not losing much,

Gem13 · 12/03/2006 14:36

cyan - hopefully. We were there 5 years ago for a few days. Our best man lived out there for 6 years. It was a good place for a visit but I'm not sure about it as a longer term option. DH might need to be there for work permanently so this trip is to check it out as a potential move; schools, toddler groups, etc.

The plan is to go somewhere after the month for a holiday - like Vietnam or Thailand Grin

Right, off to check out the Micralite.

cyan · 12/03/2006 14:39

i found singapore v clean, the MRT is fantastic, loved the shops too! And sentosa island was v pretty!

I'd like to go back to Thailand, I didnt like Bangkok too much prefered the North, Chiang Mai is lovely. OOh feel all nostalgic now seems like a lifetime ago I went travelling although it was only 3 years ago!! Had no worries then!

Gem13 · 12/03/2006 18:40

We shall see how it goes.

In the meantime... I test drove the Micralite and it is very nice. I like the mesh seat (good for hot countries), the easy folding and the depth of the seat.

Unfortunately only had DD with me to try it out. Will try and get DS to one later in the week.

misdee · 12/03/2006 19:42

cyan · 12/03/2006 22:13

do you like the bugaboo ones? what about stokke, im not keen on the latter at all.

misdee · 12/03/2006 22:17

57pounds is good.

OP posts:
lanismum · 12/03/2006 22:20

im not too keen on the bugaboos, not too sure why, they do feel nice and light to push though, as for the stokke, i think they are awful, the look so odd, iv never even felt the need to push one! ( sorry is anyone has one)

lanismum · 12/03/2006 22:21

yeah i agree with misdee, 57 quid is very good, i paid 140 for mine, im not a fan of it though, but i might use it with the carseat on if i have another baby.

tegan · 13/03/2006 12:27

The spider is not out in the uk until late april and will be costed at £199.99 for the buggy, £20 for the bag and £35 for the footmuff. It comes in 4 colours in the uk but it does include the rain cover. Mothercare and toys r us will not be stocking.
