Is he in any misery though?? He doesn't know he's got a dirty back leg. And he probably loves the attention he's getting with getting washed all the time. I know my rabbit would love for me to do that!

I would speak to the vet about having his back legs amputated.... much easier in the long run as there is no chance him beng able to use them.

But I think the Vet is a better judge of how much misery the animal is in!! He's obviously not in pain. And so what he drags his back legs.

I think its just that its too upsetting to look at. And I know it must be, but speak to the Vet first, pleeeeease, before you make that decision.

Ahhhhh

I'd wait at least until Christmas is over before getting another one. Maybe in spring?

I'm glad poor bunny had a peaceful end, Twinkie. Your DP is such a softie.

I would certainly wait until the weather gets warmer before you get a new one (unless it's a house rabbit in which case any time would be OK but better after Christmas - something to look forward to.)

Aw, Twinkie - So sorry about you wee bunny.

Something must have taken a terrible turn for the worse with him.

A new rabbit sounds like a fab idea. I recommend the Dutch rabbit. Ours is absolutley wonderful with ds, he's a fulltime house rabbit.
