Really don't feel like going in tonight.

because you'll look like you're guilty and trying to avoid them!

put your head high, go in and show them you won't be pushed around or accused of things you haven't done

WigWamBam · 08/03/2006 20:20

Because it would let them think you have something to hide from.

Because you're not going to clear up misunderstandings and lies if you don't go in and prove them wrong.

Because you love the job and can't show them how well you really do it if you sit at home.

working is hard enough sometimes without all this kind of crap, but starlover is right - you have to go. are you keeping your own diary about all this stuff? can you speak to your supervisor (you said she seemed sensible).

Thing is there's only two of us on duty at night - and guess what - tonight it's me and this other girl - and she's shift leader tonight (thankgod!).

I understand they're wanting to 'keep an eye on me' - but I feel like I've got someone sat on my shoulder the whole time and am so worried about making a silly, 'nonimportant' mistake that I don't feel I'm working as well as I could.

I have been keeping a diary at work - but it's hard to find time to make it 'detailed' especially if we have a really busy night.

I guess I'll have to go (need the money) but not looking forward to it.

How did it go? Hope an uneventful night

OMG - talk about the night from hell. After the meeting with the manager in the afternoon, I nearly tried to burn the house down by burning the rice at dinner time, the boys then scribbled all over the TV (silver coloured) with black crayons and then work was completely manic.

Usually pad checks/changes take about 20-30 minutes - including checking the other residents are ok - it took us just over 2 hours due to all sorts of stuff - don't know what they had for dinner last night but they were all potty. Mind you we still managed to get everything done - and even got 8 (which is the most the night staff usually get up) residents up in the morning Shock!
