Would a second hand baby equipment shop work?

I'd do equipment, toys & bedding etc but probably not clothes

How would I work out prices?
Would I need insurance? (apart from Public Liability/employers liability)
What haven't I considered?

I have seen 2 v successful ones, the one in Bath and another in Bradford on Avon in Wilts. Both are affluent areas, and so the clothes equipment are good quality. I would agree with the comment that rich people love a bargain.

There was one here, it was a sell-on type place, as Bran described. It closed down about 12 months ago but was open for about 5/6 years prior to that

there is one local to me which has been going a long time and is v v choosy. Anything which is even slightly in need of a clean is thrown right back, however good the condition otherwise. They buy at about 25% new price and sell for about 50% or thereabouts, and there is a sign up saying that anything still in the shop after 3 months is going to charity. They do clothes, toys and equipment, a small proportion of new stuff as well, but no second hand pushchairs or prams or car seats. One of the staff told me there are very strict regulations on the sale of these items.
i think you need a very large volume of passing trade to make it work, or become a 'destination' place. Also it would appear you have to be quite ruthless about the condition of your stock.
