Baby modelling: Advice from experience appreciated

Hey everyone - I'm a new Mum and new to baby modelling. My little girl has been asked to join several agencies including Truly Scrumptious, Elisabeth Smith and an assessment with Norrie Carr - does anyone have any experience with any of these? So far TS have been lovely but all have been very professional, are well established and all are asking for some kind of payment for photos/online book or both up front. We know it's a gamble, she may not get work and then may not enjoy it but I would like to try to at least choose the right place to start with and give it go. Thanks all!

Baby modelling is a thankless task for mum. If you have a lot of free time to drive around the country (probably for no pay and without expenses being paid) to attend shoots that your DC may not even get used in then go ahead.

If you want to pursue it you need to be clear with the agency what your rules are - i.e. no unpaid jobs, no jobs where expenses are not given back, etc.

When you get to shoots you will be there for a long time, often hours so you need to be prepared for the wait. You will generally find it is quite an unpleasant experience for DC which is usually when most mums give it up.

However we have a couple of child models we have used frequently in shoots who love it (not babies though) and are good at what they do (the majority are bad as they are forced to do it by parents.
