I bought Yes, Close to the Edge on CD for £4.99 today.

Bloody Magic!

I know that some of it is cobblers, by I was 14 all over again

PS DH and the kids think I am bonkers because I'm playing it very loud.

What music makes you remember being a teenager? (no 80s please , it will depress me )

How about Gene Pitney, Buddy Holly, and Elvis Presley then are they old enough?

Blandmum · 18/02/2006 17:30

Anyone noticed their favourite (old) albums seem to be sold el-cheapo for around £3.99 on the old farts music stand in Asda? So lacking in credibilty they're virtually giving them away with the milk. Some I remember saving and saving to buy. REM's Green was three times the price years ago when I bought it.

I never know whether to be delighted to pick up CD's so cheaply or die of embarassment because they're obviously now considered naff and past it - a bit like me really

The Kick Inside - Kate Bush
Lawyers, Guns and Money - Warren Zevon (was that the name of the album? They are all in boxes under the house)
Look Sharp - Joe Jackson
Arrival - ABBA
Horses - Patti Smith
