Just had a hell of a Sunday, scared half to death

We had planned a nice weekend, a trip to the pool for a swim. Dh is away in the states. Dd had a sleep over on Friday night and had an alergic reaction to something. She was a bit spotty and under the weather on staerday.

Sunday morning she was covered in a horrid itchy rash, and then to my utter dismay, had a fit (she is 9 and wasn't showing signs of a temp) It scared the shit out of me. I asked a friebd to look after ds (5) and drove her to a and e

They admitted us, and we have just got back

The consultant feels everything is OK but has warned me that this could signal the start of epilepsy [sad} and worried

Why do these things only ever happen when dh is away

Bethron, how awful for your ds, how long since his dx and are the consultants varying his meds to get it sorted?

kara, kind, but totaly wrong to say I was calm. By the time I got to A and E I was so shit scared I couldm't remember dd's date of birth!

And for the first time in my life I parked in a disabled parking spot while I carried her into A and E

In my defence the place was almost empty at 7.30 on a sunday morning, and I omved the car as soon nas I could
