Kendall mint cake
English tea
Marmite

Here in Oz, I miss

Posh biscuits (they do lots of nice plain biscuits but not much for a treat) so somehting from Duchy Originals?

Decent chocolate (Cadbury's have a factory in Tasmania but I don't know what they do to it as it's not v nice) so Green & Blacks?

Tea (bit of a cheat really as Aus tea is really nice but US tea isn't). Not PG Tips or Tetley.

Magazines from home just to see what's going on. I love getting my Guardian Weekly so maybe a subscription to that? (I find it easier to read papers than online). If for children then maybe a magazine like Tweenies or Magic Key?

Best thing a friend sent recently was a recorded DVD of the new episode of Rebus. I even enjoyed the adverts. So a DVD/video of something they won't get in US (though I guess they get BBC America which is good).

Can't think of much else for US. Books here are really expensive compared to home but won't be an issue in the States.

Will ponder. HTH

Ive just been to Gibraltar and stocked up on chocolate but bets of all crumpets. I think I paid through the nose for them though as they were £1.19. Surely they don't cost that in the UK?

Mercy · 09/02/2006 14:15
