not having a go at you YG, just wanted to make myself sound less unreasonable!

Mistymoo · 04/02/2006 19:40

She lied!
How could she not know it was broken?
The tape appear in transit did it?????

Sheeeesh. neutral if you're feeling generous.
Chancing her arm for sure

spacedonkey · 04/02/2006 19:41

mistymoo, it sounds like she's a professional seller - so it's feasible that she didn't test this video before selling it on

gigglinggoblin · 04/02/2006 19:49

thats exactly what i thought misty. but when people have such high feedback ratings i tend to view them more as a shop - if they refund i will deal again. i still think she shoudnt have described it as in excellent condition unless she had checked it, but with videos you have to watch it all the way through really, and she probably wont have time to do them all properly

I was badly stung at Christmas by an unscrupulous seller who refused to offer a refund on a £100 PS2 that broke the day I received it!

It has put me off ebay for life. (And I gave her neg feedback, needless to say)

But this seller dealt with the situation responsibly and promptly, thank goodness.

Mistymoo · 04/02/2006 20:02

Praps.

But why write excellent condition if she was unsure. Slipped through the net? Well that's not professional is it.

You wouldn't expect an immaculate conditioned vehicle to have a wheel missing would you? Oh sorry about that guv - never thought to check>

Guess she did the right thing and all that. I wouldn't leace positive feedback. If you're not comfortable leavinf neutral, then leave none... Saves you risking getting negative feedback.

FrannyandZooey · 04/02/2006 21:18

Mistymoo, you're saying you expect the seller to watch each video all the way through before selling it to make sure it's ok?

This was a £1.99 video. After listing fees, final value fees and paypal fees, she would have made about a quid. As it is she has lost whatever she paid for the video, plus about £1 in fees, and £1.25 in postage, out of her own pocket. And now you're saying YG should give her a neutral feedback? Unbelieveable.

Aloha · 04/02/2006 21:22

Positive feedback woman! What are you thinking of! She has refunded you in full. You lost nothing. She is clearly doing the right thing. You say, 'very honest seller, quick to respond'
I once put a sweater on ebay (beautiful beaded cardigan) only to find when going to package it that the cat had clawed small holes in the sleeve, so I did a full refund and sent it anyway. She gave me fantastic feedback. I would have been appalled if she'd given me neutral under those circs.

Aloha · 04/02/2006 21:23

It's not 'professional' because she isn't professional! She's an ordinary woman selling off a load of old videos that nobody in her house has probably watched for years!

FrannyandZooey · 04/02/2006 21:30

Yay, Aloha, it was about time we agreed on something again.
