I want to sell my husband'd ski boots on ebay and have looked at similar ones on the site and they are all charging about £12 for postage- this strikes me as as bit low any advice on how I go about working out the postage, how can they be sent for just £12, they weigh a ton, wll not quite but you know what I mean!

weigh the boots, add a bit for packaging, then look on the Royal Mail website for the cost. I doubt if anyone undercharges for postage on Ebay- quite the contrary, many sellers bump up their profit by adding to the P+P charges!

royalmail.com Have you got scales? If so weigh the boots then check the postal calculator on royalmail .com...or weight them tell me the weight and I will do the calculating bit for you.

I posted a VERY heavy pair of steel toe-capped DM boots to New York recently - cost me £15. I guess £12 would be slightly too much if it's for postage within UK, though don't forget to include packaging costs.

Courier? I'm sure Essbee said there's one that charges £10 per box...
