I missed the tour last year as we were on holiday, but I have just booked as the tickets were released and got FRONT ROW at the Palace Theatre in Manchester! GET booking MN's while the good seats are still available! Tickets are £13 each plus booking fee's, Ticketmaster are issuing them.

Children Rules:
Babes-in-arms (children under 2 years old) will not be allowed in the theatre.

Just pasted that from site, I'd ring and ask though?

will get dh to phone them. Just on all the concerts on tv there are always mums with babes in arms..lol hey ho if not then will have to find someone to take DD.

angelsmummy · 02/02/2006 23:09

the shows on tv are probably in their homeland of sunny OZ, totally better attitude to children over there.

Nemo, when I booked yesterday I asked if I needed to book a ticket for ds2 who will be nearly 1 when we go. The lady I spoke to said I didn't need a ticket for him as he'd be on my lap.
When we went to cbeebies live there were babies. We didn't take ds2 and not sure if we will take him to he wiggles.
Can't wait to see ds1's little face light up

eidsvold · 03/02/2006 08:40

that is interesting as in Aus babes under one who did not have their own seat were free.... cause it looked like I may have had to take dd2 and she would have been free - that under 2 must be someone else's rules eg. the location or something.

Fake smile and perma tan alert. Take your sunnies for all those bleached teeth.

Mascaraohara · 03/02/2006 09:17

YEAY!! I'm off to book tickets - thanks for letting us know they give me the creeps but dd luuuuurvvvesss them!

...Fruit Salad, Yummy yummy..

Frizbetheexpansionset · 03/02/2006 10:08

Woooo hooooo! have booked!!

geekgrrl · 03/02/2006 10:11

well, we're all off to see them in Manchester again, got front row circle seats. Wooho.

Nemo1977 · 03/02/2006 13:40

whimsy thanks for that. will get dh to phone to closer to the time. spoke to my friend today whose little boy I intend to take with us if we have the ticket and she said any problems and she will look after DD for us.

LIZS · 03/02/2006 13:51

I want to go - not fair , most of them are during the week and dd is at school ! [stamping foot emoticon]

crumpet · 03/02/2006 14:20

For those that have been, would you recommend taking a baby? No2 will be a couple of months old, and still (all being well) breastfed). Not sure whether the noise would be too much for it though - but I'd love to be with dd and see her face.

Not loving the idea of the Wiggles themselves though...

geekgrrl · 03/02/2006 14:47

crumpet, I think you'd be fine. Just make sure you get there early, there was a real crush in the foyer last time, very claustrophobic. Once you're in your seats it's ok. The noise level is reasonably low.

crumpet · 03/02/2006 14:58

Hmm, may just do it then. Think dd will pass out if she gets to see the real "Enthenny"

MamaG · 03/02/2006 15:08

Thank you SOOOO much for posting this! Have just booked tickets, 11am in Manchester, got row L just off centre! DS will be SO excited - and am planning to take DD out of school for the day ! Very naughty.

£65 for family of 4 though, ouch! Am skint too...

angelsmummy · 03/02/2006 20:12

Glad to see so many of you have benefited from the posting, I'm pretty new to MN and wasn't sure if its the "thing to do" but hey I got it right

The tickets alone aren't too bad, I hate all the booking fees and postage costs!

I paid for tickets to see the cbbebies on 23/12/05 at the MEN, but my dd was ill so we couldn't go, 1 adults and 2 childrens went to waste! That did upset me! but not as much as dd being poorly

Yes it was def the right thing to do! I am so excited, been practicing the dance moves all day! DS too young to understand where he is going (almost 2) but he will love it when he is there!

mamaG glad i am not the only sad one practising the moves.also agree ouch to £65 for family of 4..lol

don't forget the blindfolds though for the foyer. At the Disney on Ice we were so ripped off, our drinks and goodies which we took for the interval were confiscated! The programmes and drinks were extortianate, and the toys were a con, my dd "needed" a small dalmation stuffed toy, which cost double the price of the Disney Store, once we were sat down they continued walking up and down flogging their wares!

Just as we thought it was safe...lo and behold ..they were selling helium ballons for a fiver a go!

I was fortunate to have one child, I really felt sorry for familys with a couple of children.

i think I'm going to sew poachers pockets in my jacket this time and stash our goodies!, mainly as my dd had to do without, throughout the show as she will only drink juice, and hates fizzy!

Oh...I mustn't forget the plastic mickey mouse cup we paid £5 for, filled with coloured ice!

yes, it's much cheaper to buy t-shirts etc through the wiggles website. they're £10 at the venue. JUST SAY NO!
