domestiv question... can i just bung it in the washing machine and at what temp? and can i stick in tumble dryer?

has anyone managed to clean their seat cover successfully in the machine and did it go back onto the car seat successfully!?

thanks... and i'll be surprised to get a quick reply on a saturday night when i know that your're all intrigued and watching pop idol!!!!

I do mine on the normal cycle at 30. Just hang it up and it'll dry pretty quickly.

Any tips on cleaning the straps?

I was too scared to use the machine as it says hand wash, so washed mine in the bath came up really well. dont use washing powder on the car seat straps as it weakens them apparently.

loofers · 22/11/2003 19:41

JJ I was told to use a tiny amount of washing up liquid in a big bowl of warm water and just sponge the straps down and leave to dry.
My road saftey officer told me that a child was hurt in an accident because the mum washed the strapes in the machine with washing powder and the straps failed.

40deg - its the speed of the cycle thats impt - no too much agitation of it

codswallop · 22/11/2003 19:45
