What to get for an 18th birthday?

My lovely friend's lovely daughter turns 18 this week and I think a little gift from her (social) aunty scummy is in order. Budget only runs to £20 - £25 but I'd like to get her something suitably special to mark the one and only time she'll turn 18. Any ideas?

bump- please help me! 18 is the one age I feel totally ignorant on. What are 18 year olds into these days?

If it doesn't need to be a keepsake type of thing how about some sort of beauty treatment? Massage, manicure, nails etc.

What about something she can keep like a pretty jewellery roll, or a decent leather purse or something? or for not keepies - Decent quality bubble bath? Lovely Scented candle? Mac vouchers!

Thanks you two. I think I'd like to get something she can keep but am not sure about jewellery as I'm not sure what she'd like.

Something that makes her feel grown up - a beauty treatment token is a lovely idea - buy her a beauty treatment token and some special wine. Hope this helps!!

Premium bonds - perhaps a bit boring, but my dds were given these by relatives, and were well chuffed (but haven't won anything!!)

Thanks ThePrisoner. Not sure about PB tbh- I think if I had a bit more to spend it'd be a good plan. Really want a keepsake of some sort. I guess I'll have to scour the shops and see what leaps out. Many thanks for your suggestions, everyone.

Can I jump in and ask for ideas for an 18yo boy please ? He's my nephew and we'll probably spend £40-£50. Thanks!
As for girls, what about about a funky pen, engraved with her name maybe, if a book won't suit?

This thread has got me wondering about my 18 year old nephew

and premium bonds start at £100 so could go halves with my bro -- his uncle

we just thought about driving lessons but no idea how much they are
