Recommendations for Children's bedroom furniture......

So the story is that 2yr old dd will be moving into a new bedroom soon (yet to be replastered and painted etc.) in preparation for baby no. 2 to have her old nursery. I've done a bit of searching around for nice matching furniture sets that I could get for her - you know the kind of thing...bed (child one NOT toddler), chest of drawers, wardrobe, etc. and have found ASPACE which is lovely but quite pricey.

Question is, before I bite the bullet and go for the ASPACE stuff, does anyone else have any good recommendations of other places to look?

Hi there,
Ive just ordered for my 4 year old daughter furniture from STOMPA, was very impressed with the quality, its not much cheaper than ASPACE to be honest but its another option.
www.stompa.co.uk/studio.htm
(its the rondo range)
Bed cost about 550, mattress 150, wardrobe 200 and 2 drawers 99, got them all from Sterling

Thuka - like Flexa but less pricey. Good solid quality.

Mothercare have a girly white set called Provencal - bit 'scrolly' at the edges - a bit princessy IYKWIM. Prices in the catelogue are£349.99 for the bed, £569.99 for the wardrobe, £399.99 for the dresser, £199.99 dressing table and stool and £174.99 for the bedside table (there is also a cot at £299.99 but it says up to 2 yrs).

I like wigwam. Again - pricey, but think is beautiful and very well made. dd has the house bed and furniture (with the perspex panels).

Pooka - thanks for that I'd forgotten completely about Wigwam. I had a brochure from them ages ago and have since thrown it away. Have just ordered myself another as I agree - their stuff is lovely...and on a par pricewise with ASPACE.

we have the Flexa bed and it's absolutely brilliant, fantastic quality and will last years and years because you can adapt it as they grow.
