When did you look in the mirror and think, eww I look old!

Couldn't find a vanity thread.

A friend of mine sent me some photos taken only a couple of years ago and I was quite shocked at how young and glowing I looked(though didn't think so then . I seem to have aged about ten years in two! Maybe having children was not a good idea after all, ha ha!
I think I have the start of crows feet and big old suitcases under my puffy eyes.

Is it all down hill now? I may flog lots of things on e bay and get some back street botox, erm, not kidding.

Anyone else think similar?

Anchovy, I was grumbling to DP's 30 year old brother that I look particularly crap in one family photo. 'Oh, that doesn't matter,' he immediately responded, clearly amazed that a lady of my advanced years could even be bothered about that sort of thing.

Have seriously started considering buying age defying lotions now. Have the crinkles in the outer corners of my eyes that stay there even when I am not smiling

Have no grey hairs though unlike DP - hee hee

After I have this baby am going to go and live in a spa for three weeks and maybe have a head transplant.

I re-met a school friend after many years about 2.5 years ago and I was shocked at the fine wrinkles on her face. I felt quite chuffed as, unlike her, I have never used face creams, and I thought it was quite ironic that her skin looked older than mine. I feel she would have been horrified to know how much I thought she had aged.

Well, some time after that (maybe a year later) I began to notice fine lines on my face too, and so now, I think if we met again, she might think I had aged a lot. For one who has never cared much about her appearance, I am surprised how much I mind the presence of wrinkles on my face.

3 weeks after my ds was born (I was aged 29) and we had a family portrait done. When we got the photos back, dd was pointing to people in the phot and naming them

"Thant's me, thats Sammy, that's Daddy and that's Nana(!!!!!!!!)"

Bloody cheek - ok so I had serious crows feet, a streak of grey hair and big shaddows under my eyes, but I donot* look like my bloody mother!

Lol Cadbury, funny but not funny

Katemum · 30/01/2006 14:19

I suddenly noticed recently that my cheeks seem to have dropped from somewhere just under my eyes and are now cuddling my chin.

lou33 · 30/01/2006 14:29

i do it daily

blueshoes · 30/01/2006 14:35

My features are largely the same, but somehow, I have managed to add that veneer that says shopworn and pinched.

meggmoo · 30/01/2006 18:25

Blueshoes I know all about the veneer ATM! like it!
