Hello,

we are about to move house, to a 3 floor house... dd has just started crawling (think strange commando shuffle on belly). also can sit up on her own and is thinking of pulling up on stuff.

so... what do i need to checklist and buy/ do to make sure she cannot get hurt by anything?

anyone got some kind of list of stuff to do?

Thanks so much

Kate

stairgates on all stairs.

that's it really... i am very anti-babyproofing though (read lazy!)
ds learns by mistake and being told NO a lot! lol

we have covers for the electrical sockets, a stairgate at the bottom of the stairs, a fireguard for the open fire and have moved the toxic cleaning stuff from under the sink to a sealed box on a high countertop in the utility room.

that's all

Am i also anti-babyproofing - besides which when dd was at that stage, it would have been impossible as we were mid heavy duty building project and had all sorts of tools lying around. Strangely enough - because we've never hidden things away, she's actually not that interested...just seems to assune it's all part of the furniture.

My one concessiob is stair gates though - they are a must...although again we never put one on the bottom of the stairs as dd showed no inclination for climbing - only at the top...

depends on child
dd1-very good not interested in anything,
dd2-still won't leave plug sockets and fire alone and she is 4!

Important are fire guards and safety gates, just move things away from the edgeof tables/shelves etc that she could pull on herself when she starts climbing, also watch her for putting things in the video!(I KNOW!)
