There are so many important reasons why I shouldnt have a third child...

We only have a 2 bedroomed house
Money is already tight
I want a decent figure back and am doing well working on it
I like having a little more freedom even though they are still young, Im not breastfeeding so am able to leave the kids with sitters
I have a hard enough time coping with the two I have - they are only 3 and 1
Dh would be against the idea

But then i think

well the baby would be in with us for a year anyway
would it really make much of a difference finacially?
I dont have to breast feed so could still have some freedom
I would adjust and cope as we all do
Dh could be sweet talked if i tried hard enough
I am only 23, plenty of time to work on getting a good figure

I dont think I want another baby so why cant i get it out of my head?

Is it because its only in the last few months that the doctor has said I would be able to concieve? As I am now having periods etc

Maybe because the boys arnt as hard work now im getting rose tinted glasses about the work involved?

I like labour - mad arnt i!!!

I think its because Hunker has made me broody

I have had three under 3 - it's very very hard work. Also not many things are set up for a family of 5 ie cars can be tricky, booking holidays, eating out etc.

Maybe have another when the others are a little older?

Tamba, I'd apologise and talk you out of it, but I have a feeling that three might be a rather nice number... I know, after all I said when I was pregnant!

tasdma come and join us on the 'i'm broody, peter...' thread lol.

See what you did Hunker???

I am only broody at night time when the house is quiet though...for some strange reason it tends to wear off during the day!

as i was leaving the maternity ward last month after delivering dd2, i told them, 'well, that's it for us.' the midwives said, 'oh they all say that.'

Tamba - yes, you may well want anpother, but as others have said...wait, and you will probably enjoy it more.
Shall I trawl through and point you to all the threads where you say you feel stressed?
Can you imagine getting DS1 to his first year in school on time, with all his books in his bag etc, and with a toddler AND a baby?? And the same on the return journey?Do yourself a big favour. Wait.

Frizbetheexpansionset · 21/01/2006 18:53

don't do it, because you get to the last month of pregnancy and feel like you want it out now!!! and yet you have to wobble around like that poor whale in the Thames for another few weeks.....
