I have decided to sell my big mamas and papas pram but i still want a pushchair that rear faces, is the loola okay?

i have a Loola, which we bought because it was the only pushchair that would fit in the boot of our car.

are you going to be putting it up and down a lot? if not i'd recommend it, if you are then look for something else. it is supposed to be easy to fold but even my dp struggles to get it folded, and when it is i can't put it in the back of the car as there aren't many places to grip it when you lift it. it's also supposed to be free standing when folded but mine doesn't (don't know if it would be better if the seat was on front facing)

because of the way the handles are you can't really carry much shopping on it and the basket underneath is obstructed by the huge crossbar.

i guess what i'm saying is it's not a pushchair i'd recommend. i looked everywhere for a review online before we bought it and could only find good ones but having used it for six months i wish i'd bought something else.

no experience of this pushchair, but when i asked for recommendations between this one and another pushchair, i was inundated with people telling me not to buy the loola. one of the major things with it that they said was that was fine for a baby if you didn't need to fold it all the time, but once child got to about 16-18months was difficult to steer and heavy!

thanks the key thing i want is refacing.

With DD1 i had my mamas and papas 2 in 1 in the rear facing mode all the time, which we both loved but i now don't need the hugeness of this one!! so would ideally like a smaller rear facing pushchair.

think i'll post a seperate thread on this!!

Hi Katz

I use the loola and find it Ok, it stands up on its own if you lock the wheels before folding. I would agree that the cross bar over the shopping bit is a pain. I find folding it fine too. Its not the lightest though, we will probably go for a lighter weight buggy come the summer. Is there anywhere near you that stocks them so you could go and have a look for yourself?
