mummytosteven · 07/01/2006 19:56

No. Comedy shows tend to be even ruder live, don't they?

misdee · 07/01/2006 19:56

busybusybee · 07/01/2006 19:57

No! I went to Little Britain live- there were a few children (12ish) and other members of our group (childless) commented that it was unsuitable. It's really quite rude (and hilarious!)

No

Twiglett · 07/01/2006 20:07

I'd also be annoyed if I went and a 9 year old was sitting next to me

its patently an adult's show

gigglinggoblin · 07/01/2006 20:10

there was a little boy in the audience on little britain night on tele. mum got a bit of stick when he stood up to ask a question.

ds1 (almost 7) has started saying 'computer says noooo' and laughing hysterically cos a girl in his class has told him its a joke. she is 6 or 7! why would you let a child hat age watch it? why isnt she in bed ffs?

no i wouldnt let a 9 year old watch it, but i can only assume small kids laugh cos their parents do and have no idea what they are talking about (i hope)

carlk · 07/01/2006 20:11

I hope they sit near the front as usually when kids end up at an innapropriate show the turns point it out to the whole adience and take the p!ss mercilessly

paolosgirl · 07/01/2006 20:27

No way!!! It's an adult show, completely unsuitable for a child.

hercules · 07/01/2006 20:28

I agree also with whoever said that they would be annoyed sitting next to a child that age in an adult show. Surely part of the pleasure is no sodding kids?

I think I must be old fashioned, but I still don't feel comfortable with young kids getting taken to shows or concerts, unless they are specifically aimed at them eg Tweenies or Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. A woman I worked beside took her 5 year old to see Busted - it was a school night, and the concert was 40 miles away. The little girl didn't enjoy it because it was too loud and crowded - and then she was exhausted the next day.

Sorry if I'm highjacking here.

Yummymummy24 · 07/01/2006 20:48

no no no

FeelingOld · 07/01/2006 20:49

Definitely not and our dd who is 10 reckons that most of the kids in her year 6 class at school watch it on tv and wants to know why she can't . She won't be watching it anytime soon as I think it is totally inappropriate at her age. Dh and I love it though

galaxy · 07/01/2006 20:53

No I wouldn't. ds is 13 and watches it but I don't actually like him watching it. dd is 3 and started coming out with "yeah but no but " etc and "computer says no" thanks to ds.

dh and I went to see some daft programme being recorded for Sky 1 last year and it was patently for over 18's. About half way through. 2 young lads got up to ask a question and the compere asked their age. Turns out they were 14 and were there with their drama teacher who'd taken them for the experience of watching a live show. Needless to say, they were asked to leave.

I'm surprised they are allowing a 9 year old to attend

No

WestCountryLass · 07/01/2006 21:17
