I was out shopping with the dd's today & went into a shop to buy some bin liners. The 1st ones I picked up were the wrong sort,so I put them back on the shelf, picked up the right ones & went to the till to pay.In the meantime dd1 who is 27 months, was picking up items from the shelves & trying to give them to me to buy.I made her put everything back, paid for my stuff & went home.

When I unpacked the basket under the pram,I found the 1st bin liners that I'd picked up.Then I found the right ones,in a bag with the receipt,.

Either I'm losing my mind & put them in the pram basket instead of back on the shelf,or dd1 put them there when I wasn't looking.I was quite worried about it & couldn't help thinking 'what if a security guard had stopped me?'

DH keeps laughing at me & saying 'tell it to the judge',but I don't think it's funny.

When Ds1 was younger he used to put things under the cosy toes of his buggy and i would find them when i got home, usually things like shampoo, or tissues. On one occasion he did this in the chemist in Lossiemouth, i hadn't noticed and the assistant had been watching on the cctv and followed me out the shop to ask for it back. I was annoyed though that she had seen him doing it and hadn't told me when i was still in the shop. Have often went out of a supermarket with things hanging on the hooks.
Once i asked for £50 cashback , and it wasn't till i got home that i realsied the assistant had given me the £50, but hadn't charged it to my debit card, only the shopping.!

When I was pregnant with dd1, I walked around a gift shop for ages, with 2 frames in my hand that I'd seen when I walked in. I was there so long that I forgot I'd picked up anything and left after browsing. It was only when I got to my car 3 shops later that I notied the frames were still in my hand, I'd literally walked out with them in full view. I couldnt go back then as I didnt want to get stopped on my way in by a security guard (I was working in criminal law at the time in defence and knew if I got arrested I'd lose my practicing certificate!). When I got home I worte a letter to the store with the price tickets attached and a fiver inside to apologise. Dh just laughed at my moral conscience!

When DD was about 2 she grabbed a pepper from the shelf in Sainsburys and took huge bites out of it. Had no idea until half way round. Did offer to pay at the cash desk, but the lady was ever so nice and said not to worry, and that it was nice to see a little one enjoying her beggies rather than sweets!
