My citroen xsara picasso has 3 full seat belts in the back if thats any help.

starlover · 05/01/2006 15:58

no idea but what kind of thing are you looking for?

we have a renault scenic which has 3 seatbelts in back... really reasonable price second hand, nice to drive, not TOO huge but big enough boot to fit our massive pram in!

MrsSpoon · 05/01/2006 15:58

Peugeot 406 has three full seatbelts in the back.

Enid · 05/01/2006 16:02

well I thought originally I would go for a people carrier

but tbh I think I'd rather something smaller - I'll be driving myself alone to work in it every day.

Dh wants a bmw estate I think - an estate anyway

ford focus and vauxhall astra both have 3 full seatbelts.

starlover · 05/01/2006 16:04

the scenic is technically an mpv... but it is no longer than our ford focus. just a bit higher!

it's great if you go away or anything because the boot is so huge!

starlover · 05/01/2006 16:05

do you know... was just about to say that i thought the focus also had 3 seatbelts, but wasn't totally sure! lol

LIZS · 05/01/2006 16:06

Renault Megane has 3 full ones as well as Scenic.

iota · 05/01/2006 16:08

I thought 3 x full seat-belts in the rear were the norm these days

Audi Estates and VW Passat Estates both have 3 x full seat belts

Bozza · 05/01/2006 16:21

My 52 reg Fiesta has 3 full seatbelts in the back. But there is only a small gap between the two car seats.

QueenVictoria · 05/01/2006 16:23

Have found fords to be pretty slim generally tbh.

Bozza · 05/01/2006 16:25

Well I do think you would struggle to get 3 car seats in the back of any car of that sort of "supermini" size. So would need to have Focus size at least and I would have thought that most cars of this size would have 3 in the back.

SoupDragon · 05/01/2006 16:54

Laguna has 3 full belts in the back but you won't fit 3 seats and access the seatbelt sockets. Not a problem if all 3 seats are still 5-point harnesses. This will be something you can't tell unless you look at the car and mentally try to fit your seats in!

bundle · 05/01/2006 16:55

scenic (or similar) isn't that much bigger than my trashy old vauxhall nova..and you get to feel all superior cos you're high up. much easier to put children in car seats too, and lumber yourself out when pg.

QueenVictoria · 05/01/2006 17:01

DP had a ford mondeo hire car at the weekend and teh 2 child seats left just a max of 12 inches inbetween - not a proper 3rd seat size in a saloon car.

Enid · 05/01/2006 18:13

no I need booster seat (so has to be easy to undo seatbelt), fixed 'toddler seat' and baby seat (so also has to be easy access to seatbelt)

But gobbledook fits 3 in her Mondeo.

Enid could you get a baby seat with a base so that could be permanently fitted?

Twiglett · 05/01/2006 21:26

cheap and good .. Vauxhall Astra

LIZS · 05/01/2006 21:26

Think some Volvos and vw's have built in booster seats which flip out. Friend got 3 across in a BMW 5 series estate and another in a Volvo c70.

Milge · 05/01/2006 21:39

My friend has just had her third baby, plus has a 4 year old and an 18month old, they had to swap their cars too, and bought a Volvo XC90, and a renault scenic( or is it a citroen picasso) they all look the same to me. She is v happy - the Volvo has inbuilt booster seat in the middle seat.

Frizbetheexpansionset · 05/01/2006 21:41

Xsara picasso has 3 full belts and can fit 3 full carseats!
