Handy uses for washable breast pads when no longer breastfeeding!

This idea came to me while getting a pair of knickers out of my drawer this morning which is crammed full of the blighters - washable breastpads, that is, or WBP's (now there's a new Mumsnet abbreviation!). I'm loathed to throw them out as I spent quite a bit on them, so I set my mind on finding alternative uses for them. Here are a few:- 1. For filling out my bra now that my inadequate, saggy boobs are unable to do it for themselves! 2. Coasters 3. Eye patches or ear warmers (you never know they could become all the rage!) That's all I could come up with for now, I'm afraid. Anyone got any other suggestions?

P.S. It goes without saying that the knickers I was getting out of my drawer were big ones!

What about washable eye make up remover pads.

Shoulder pads (although too 1980s perhaps?)

Little polishing pads for buffing up your silver.

Incontinence pads!!!

Your ideas are better than mine, Eulalia! But still, I have a couple more:- Cover with silver glitter to make pretty snowball decorations for the Christmas tree, or, sew 2 together to make a handy coin/lipstick purse for those nights out with the girls!

It sounds awful but they are clean and so absorbent so now winter on the way, mopping up wet windowsills! Or is there a way round this problem?

When we stayed with friends in America this summer I was astonished when T produced some WBP's, as they have no small children. Turns out that garages sell them for applying wax polish to cars!!!

Do you know Pamina, I had that idea too, so maybe it's not such a mad one afterall! Infact, I might go and kick dh off the sofa and try it!

WBP's covered in chocolate spread might be a possibility!

Come now Pamina, soak them in warm water and grow some delicious alfalfa sprouts on them instead.
And while you are waiting for them to germinate, nip out and get yourself a bar of nutritious, iron and theobromine rich Green & Black's Mayan Gold chocolate. Your mental health is at stake.

Oh dear! Marina and Pamina, I've just realised that I've been getting you two mixed up! Just because your two names rhyme is no excuse for my incompetence- very sorry! My brain is now the size of a pea (no, make that a petit pois) the result of 3 pregnancies - what can I say!!Maybe I should stuff my head with WBP's to fill the empty void!
