Feeling guiltily as if we are wasting these golden days of holiday instead of making the most of them. What are other people doing with their kids? Events? Activities? WEnt to Ikea today and really felt that this was Not On.

I'm in London btw.

We've been to the theatre, visited friends, went for a lovely walk today and it started snowing.
We've also had a few PJ days when the kids have just played with their toys.
DH is golfing all day tomorrow so I might take the boys to see Narnia, then we're all going out for a chinese meal in the evening.
The theatre trip was in the evening as well,I've tried to take the opportunity,to take them for more grown up evenings out while they don't have to get up for school.

Going mad. counting the days until the crèche opens & dd goes back to school.

It is really cold, but without the snow (boo-hoo)so not venturing too far. But took dd ice-skating at The Tower of London yesterday which was great. First time on the ice in 20+ years and didn't fall over once (and yes, I did let go of the side!)

Today we have been celebrating ds's 3rd birthday. Very low key but dead nice. Looked like a toy shop with all his new toys alongside the Christmas ones. I have one VERY happy boy in bed just now.

Just been nice taking it in turns at sleeping in, and also having DP around has made me smile. The kids just want "Daddy" all the time now and run to him when they are upset, which is a lovely change and I think he's enjoying it too.

Both still up though as late nights and late mornings have been happening regularly. Will be glad to get back to the school routine.

taken the dds swimming and we had a day at the beach with their cousins, took them bowling this afternoon - dd1 got a strike on her fist go - helped by a large ball and a little metal runway thingy, taking them to the beach swimming tomorrow morning...

done some shopping for bits and pieces - letting them spend lots of time playing with dh.

just chilling out and enjoying their christmas presents

we do have 3 weeks vacation left.... given that it is our 6 week summer break.
