My kids would watch TV all day long if I let them. I must admit though they can learn quite a lot from Tv and this is always a good thing.

I often let them watch for an hr and then give them something constructive to do after.

each to there own I think.

If it is more than you would like, it is too much.

(gentle hint, please don't type in capital letters...shouting! )

WELL I KNOW THAT THESE PROGRAMMES ARE SPECIALLY MADE WITH EDUCATION IN MIND BUT I ALWAYS FEEL SLIGHTLY GUILTY AS SOMETIMES THE TV IS MY ONLY MEANS OF GETTING A 10 MIN BREATHER OR WHATEVER. JUST GOT A BOOK YESTERDAY ABOUT TODDLER DEVELOPEMENT AND THE BIT ABOUT NOT LETTING THEM WATCH TOO MUCH TV MADE ME FEEL LIKE THE WORST PARENT EVER!

well, as long as she does other things, don't beat yourself up , and please don't type in capital letters only, it is considered to be shouting on the internet!

Ds is 14 months and tbh, I don't let him watch tv. If it is on, he will stop what he is doing and just stare at it (this would be the news or something) which is a bit scary. They just like the lights I think. I don't for a moment assume that he loves the news! They will naturally find something to do at this age, they really don't need to sit and watch the tv.
