misdee that is a fab article and madre me cry about your little girls missing their daddy. I dont know how you all manage to cope with everything going on. I really hope that Peter can come home on xmas day.

misdee · 14/12/2005 11:10

MIstletAOU · 14/12/2005 11:34

Wow misdee, that's brilliant - if a little scarey. I think it could make a real difference to the donor situation though.

MARINAtivityPlay · 14/12/2005 11:43

Go for it misdee, what lovely girls they all are. I signed up online for the Organ Transplant Register because of Peter and Noddyholder and I hope many, many more do likewise.
So hope Peter gets home for Christmas.

sobernoel · 14/12/2005 11:45

Well done, misdee. I particularly like the fact that you are smiling in the photo and weren't told to look tragically sad - that makes a refreshing change. I hope you do go national and that it gets many more donors signed up.

sobernoel · 14/12/2005 11:46

Ooh, Blimey! The Sun has the biggest readership of them all, doesn't it? You'll be on the sofa with Philip and Fern next!

MIstletAOU · 14/12/2005 11:53

Was just telling dh about this and he said the same thing - if it goes in the Sun you will almost certainly be approached by the TV bods. Absolutely no doubts that they will be lovely to you but it is very disruptive having them around (speaking as one who knows!) and they don't often appreciate that!

crunchie · 14/12/2005 12:18

Go for it I hope you get the coverage it derserves and that Peter will get his transplant soon

laughinglil · 14/12/2005 12:27

i have registered as a doner.to be honest haven't really read any of these threads as I find them so upsetting but after reading that I knew that I had to do it. I've been meaning to do it for years . Your story is inspirational and I hope that Peter gets a new heart soon. My heart goes out to you.

laughinglil · 14/12/2005 12:28

That's great misdee! Well done for staying so strong this year. I am sure the publicity will mean more people will sign up as donors.
I hope you can enjoy christmas together as a family and that Peter is back at home with you and the girls as soon as possible.

LIZS · 14/12/2005 12:51

Hope it helps raise the profile of organ donation and fingers crossed for Christmas.

PottyinaPearTree · 14/12/2005 12:56

That's brill misdee. Hope you get to have a proper family Christmas at home.

I've bumped the 'million donor challenge' thread as one of the children from Heartline has been put on the active transplant list this week.

REINDEERPOOtlepod · 14/12/2005 12:59

Chloe55 · 14/12/2005 13:13

I have followed your threads on Peter but never posted having never known what to say. Your article has just encouraged me to join the register though Misdee.

GoodQueenSpursmum · 14/12/2005 13:23

You could have told me that you would be in the paper!!! My mothers just had a whinge at me for not telling her just how sick Peter was!!
You will now be doing the rounds of the QE2 thanks to her!!

HRHQueenOfQuelNoel · 14/12/2005 13:25

Brilliant article, Misdee - your story definitely deserves national coverage and the publicity it will generate for the organ donor register. Gorgeous pics of you all too
