"binnign" ???

Never heard of it

motherinfurrierfestivehat · 12/12/2005 10:42

Yep. Spent the money on a midwife training from Oxfam, and will send out self-righteous email about it to pre-empt accusations of slovenly not caring.

BournemouthBaubleBabe · 12/12/2005 10:42

Please explain "binnign"!

Hulababy · 12/12/2005 10:48

No. I stand them up until after Christmas then DD gets them to cut up and do crafty stuff with.

TheFish · 12/12/2005 10:48

but hey always look a mess and f all down

OP posts:
NomDePlumPudding · 12/12/2005 10:48

Mine stay up until the tree comes down then they go in the recycling.

Hulababy · 12/12/2005 10:49

They do and they will drive me mad by the New Year. But couldn't just bin them. Quite like them.

JackieNoCribForABed · 12/12/2005 10:54

Don't really want to bin them, although they do make me feel guilty that I haven't yet got round to writing any. OTOH can't be doing with having them standing up round the house, so put them all in a large bowl on a table in the dining room. Then DD does crafty things with them after New Year (which actually means they sit in a plastic bag in the 'craft box' and occasionally get emptied out to make more mess).

tamba · 12/12/2005 11:00

I wrote out cards for the ds's nursery classes and put them on the shelf.

Next morning left the kids alone, went to get dressed came back and found that ds1 (3) had opened them all grrrrr cause he thought they were for him.."look at all my cards mommy"

Feistybird · 12/12/2005 11:03

I can't beleive you would bin Christmas cards. Isn't the whole point of them, that you display them (even those sent to your 2yo in nursery, fgs!) to show everyone how popular you are?

Feistybird · 12/12/2005 11:04

believe, not beleive.

Although don't know why I feel the need to correct my spelling on a fish thread....

TurkeyGang · 13/12/2005 22:18

I love christmas but the cards are getting me down. Can't find my christmas card list thingy this year (where the hell do things GO round here?)and haven't written any yet.

I Stick 'em up on the wall with blu tack. Binning is tempting though. Dt's brought some home from pre-school but we've no idea who they're from cos just a squiggle inside.

Glitterygook · 13/12/2005 22:24

Me. Except this year ds1 designed a card at school and it's been made up into Xmas card with his name on the back - I ordered 24 so I'll be sending those out! Just for him really.

Tbh, most of those I've received I've put in the bin they get on my nerves and look tatty round the house - it's nice to get a xmas hello from people I don't see but I don' tneed to stick it on the wall for 3 weeks as well
